We can know the Holy Spirit teaches us by the transformation of our hearts and minds to understand and apply biblical truths.
The teaching of the Holy Spirit is evidenced in a believer’s life when there is an awakening to the realities of faith and an understanding of the Scripture that affirms one’s relationship with Christ. The Holy Spirit reminds us of God’s Word, leading us to deeper insights and understanding, as He did with the apostles. Jesus promised in John 14:26 that the Holy Spirit will teach us all things and bring to remembrance all that He has said. The fruit of this teaching is a heart transformed, a deeper love for Christ, and an inclination towards repentance and faith. Each of these is clear evidence of the Holy Spirit's active role in our spiritual growth.
