How do we know the hope of heaven is true?

Answered in 2 sources

We know the hope of heaven is true because it is grounded in God's immutable promises as confirmed by His oath.

The truth of the believer's hope in heaven is established upon the unchanging nature of God's promises. Hebrews 6:18 highlights that by two immutable things—the promise of God and His oath—we have strong encouragement to hold onto our hope. God's inability to lie guarantees that His promises will be fulfilled. Throughout Scripture, we see examples such as that of Abraham, who believed in the hope set before him despite his circumstances. This is not a mere wish; it is an assured expectation based on the character of God and the resurrection of Christ, which secures our place in heaven. Furthermore, the presence of Christ in heaven, who acts as our High Priest, ensures that we, too, will enter into that promised place where we will dwell with Him for eternity.
