How do we know the importance of Christ in our lives?

Answered in 3 sources

We understand the importance of Christ through His loving relationship with us, as demonstrated in Song of Solomon.

In the Song of Solomon, life with Christ is depicted as a beautiful love affair full of joy and fulfillment. Solomon writes, 'Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth; for thy love is better than wine' (Song of Solomon 1:2). This illustrates the intimate relationship believers have with Christ, where His love brings peace, joy, and a sense of true belonging. Unlike the emptiness found without Him, life with Christ means experiencing overwhelming love that transforms us and fulfills our deepest yearnings. The persistent longing of the believer, 'Draw me, we will run after thee' (Song of Solomon 1:4), signifies our understanding that true satisfaction only comes from Him.
