How do we know the importance of Christ in our lives?

Answered in 2 sources

Christ is essential as He is the fulfillment of the law and the source of our righteousness before God.

The necessity of Christ is underscored throughout Isaiah and the New Testament. Our efforts to do good or obey the law are futile in achieving righteousness; instead, righteousness is found solely in Christ, who fulfills the law on our behalf (Romans 10:4). Isaiah points out that our works, akin to the Israelites' sacrifices, cannot earn us favor with God. Instead, they must reflect our recognition of Christ's sacrifice, which reconciles us to God. Without Christ, we remain in our sinful state, emphasizing the importance of His role as our mediator and righteousness.
