How do we know the importance of Christ's death?

Answered in 2 sources

Christ's death is central to our salvation, as it is through His shed blood that we are justified and reconciled with God.

The death of Jesus Christ is the pivotal event in salvation history, as affirmed in Romans 5:9, where Paul teaches that we are justified by His blood. This signifies that our right standing before God is solely based on His sacrificial atonement, not on our works or righteousness. Furthermore, Ephesians 1:7 reiterates that through His blood, we have redemption and forgiveness of sins. Thus, from justification to eventual glorification, every aspect of salvation is anchored in the significance of Christ's death. His sacrificial love fulfills the covenant of grace and establishes the foundation for our relationship with God.
