In biblical theology, the Veil is immensely important as it not only served a physical purpose in the Tabernacle but also conveyed profound spiritual truths. It represented the separation between a holy God and sinful humanity, as seen in Leviticus 16:2, which emphasized that only the high priest could enter the most holy place once a year, and only after intricate rituals. The Veil's very nature as a barrier illustrated that humanity could not approach God without atonement for their sins. This was fulfilled in Christ, whose sacrificial death rendered the Veil torn, thus declaring that the way into God’s presence was now open through faith in Him. This transformation is a vital element in understanding the New Covenant and the access believers have to God.
