How do we know the importance of work according to Scripture?

In Christian theology, work is not merely a means of earning a paycheck but is viewed as an integral part of human dignity and purpose. In Genesis, we see that God created man to cultivate the earth, reflecting that work is part of the divine blessing bestowed upon humanity. In 2 Thessalonians 3:10, Paul reiterates this principle by teaching that 'if anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat.' This connection between work and sustenance reinforces the understanding that labor is essential in fulfilling God's mandate for human beings.
