How do we know the law is perfect?

Answered in 2 sources

Scripture confirms the perfection of God's law; it is upheld by Jesus Christ who fulfilled it on our behalf.

The law of God is indeed perfect, as it reflects His holy and unchanging nature. Romans 3:19 states that the law speaks to those under it, making every mouth stop and the world guilty before God. This is essential in understanding our relationship to the law. While we are incapable of perfectly keeping God's law due to our sinful nature, the Lord Jesus Christ succeeded where we fail. He fulfilled the law completely, and because believers are joined to Him by faith, they are counted as having kept the law through Christ's righteousness. Therefore, our confidence in the perfection of the law is rooted in the sufficiency of Christ's work.
