How do we know the law of God is not sinful?

Answered in 1 source

We know the law is not sinful because it is a reflection of God's holy character and reveals our need for Christ.

The law of God is not sinful because, as Paul indicates in Romans 7:12-14, it is holy, just, and good. The law serves a purpose by defining sin and showing how far we fall short of God’s perfect standard. It gives us a clear understanding of sin by illustrating God's righteousness and holiness, making it indispensable for our understanding of salvation. Moreover, the law reveals our sinful nature, which leads us to realize our deep need for a Savior, ultimately pointing us to the grace found in Jesus Christ who fulfilled the law on our behalf. Hence, the law glorifies God's character rather than being a source of transgression.
