How do we know the love of Christ?

Answered in 1 source

We know the love of Christ through His sacrificial death and the assurance it brings, as it surpasses all understanding.

The love of Christ is a fundamental part of the Christian faith, perfectly encapsulated in Romans 5:8, which tells us that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. This love is not only demonstrated in His death but is also a continual reality in the lives of believers, providing them with comfort and assurance. Ephesians 3:19 speaks of knowing the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, indicating a depth of understanding that transforms and sustains believers. Through the Holy Spirit, believers experience this love, enabling them to grasp the enormity and permanence of God's affection toward them. It is this transformational love that compels Christians to live wholly for Him, rooting them firmly in the security of their salvation.
