How do we know the love of God is in us?

The love of God is evidenced in our lives when we respond to His love with love for Him and commit to His ways.

Jesus said in John 5:42, 'But I know you that ye have not the love of God in you.' This statement prompts us to examine whether we truly have God's love within us. According to 1 John 4:19, 'We love him because he first loved us.' The presence of God's love in our hearts is not something we produce ourselves but is a gift given by God through His grace. Reflecting on our spiritual journey and recognizing God's mercies towards us can affirm the love we have for Him, which serves as evidence of His love in us.
