How do we know the message of Christ is true?

Answered in 4 sources

The truth of the gospel is affirmed through the consistent teaching of Scripture and the work of the Holy Spirit in believers’ hearts.

Paul articulates in his letters that the gospel message is not subject to individual opinions or cultural interpretations, but must be anchored in the historical and divine work of Christ. In John 10:14-16, Jesus reassures us that His sheep recognize His voice and follow Him. This understanding of who Christ is and His work is confirmed through Scripture and the inner witness of the Holy Spirit. True believers are those who are called and chosen before the foundation of the world, recognizing their utter dependence on Christ’s atoning work alone for salvation, and this awareness is a hallmark of their faith.
