How do we know the moral law is still binding?

Answered in 1 source

The moral law, including the Ten Commandments, is binding as it reflects God's unchanged character and standards.

The Ten Commandments remain binding today because they reveal God's eternal moral law, which has been inscribed upon the hearts of all people (Romans 2:15). This law was never abolished and is part of God’s immutable nature. When Christ affirmed the law (Matthew 5:17), He re-emphasized its relevance for believers. Additionally, Scriptures like Hebrews 4:9 affirm that Sabbath-keeping and by extension, adherence to the moral law, persists into the new covenant. This means that the moral teachings of the law continue to apply to Christians, guiding conduct and encapsulating God's will for humanity.
