How do we know the necessity of Christ's blood?

Answered in 2 sources

Christ's blood is necessary because it satisfies the justice of God and provides a way for sinners to be justified.

The necessity of Christ's blood stems from God's character, as He must remain just while justifying sinners. In Hebrews 9:15, it states that Christ is the mediator of the New Testament, 'that by means of death, for the redemption of transgressions that were under the First Testament...' This underscores that redemption could not occur without the shedding of blood, which fulfills the requirement for payment of sin. As a sinner, one must die in one of two states: either in their sins or in Christ who bore their sins. Thus, without the blood of Christ, there is no remission of sins, highlighting its pivotal role in the salvation process.
