How do we know the necessity of peace with God?

Answered in 1 source

The necessity of peace with God is underscored in Scripture, as it is through this peace that believers can have access to God's grace and spiritual blessings (Romans 5:1).

The necessity of peace with God stems from the reality of sin, which disrupts communion with the divine. Romans 5:1 states, 'Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.' This peace is essential because it signifies the restoration of relationship and the removal of enmity. Through the atoning work of Jesus, believers receive this peace, allowing them access to God’s grace. Without this peace, humanity remains in spiritual beggary without hope or the means to approach God and partake in His blessings.
