How do we know the necessity of the Gospel is true for believers?

Answered in 1 source

The Gospel remains essential for believers as it continually confronts and guides us away from sin towards Christ.

Many view the Gospel as merely a means of salvation for those outside the church; however, it is equally vital for those within. The Apostle Paul illustrates this through the process of walking in faith versus walking in unbelief. The necessity of the Gospel for believers is demonstrated in our daily walk, as we consistently find ourselves needing to repent and return to Christ. This is evident in Romans, where Paul addresses how all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, demonstrating that we must continually rely on grace through faith. The Gospel is not just a one-time event but an ongoing invitation to engage with Christ and renew our minds through His Word, solidifying our foundation in truth amidst a world beset by ignorance and pride.
