How do we know the new covenant is effective?

Answered in 1 source

The new covenant is effective because it is a covenant of grace made with Christ on behalf of His people, ensuring their salvation.

The new covenant, contrasted with the covenant of works, is based entirely on grace, not on human merit or effort. Scripture reveals that this covenant was established before the foundations of the world and involves Christ as the surety (Hebrews 7:22). Unlike the covenant of works, which offered only condemnation, the new covenant is unconditional and everlasting, promising redemption and righteousness through Jesus' obedience and sacrifice (Romans 5:19). This covenant assures believers that their salvation is secure in Christ, as He fulfills all the conditions on our behalf.
