How do we know the peace of Christ is real?

Answered in 2 sources

Christ's peace is real because it is given to His followers, distinguishing it from the transient peace of the world.

In John 14:27, Jesus states, 'Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you.' This peace is rooted in Christ's authority and His accomplished work of reconciliation. It is not a mere absence of conflict but rather a profound sense of well-being and assurance that comes from being in right relationship with God. The peace of Christ possesses a unique permanence and depth, contrasting sharply with the fleeting and conditional peace offered by the world. For believers, this peace flows from the promises of God's Word and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, ensuring that it remains steadfast amidst life's trials.
