How do we know the peace of God is real?

Answered in 1 source

The reality of God's peace is experienced through faith in Jesus and reliance on His finished work (Philippians 4:6-7).

The peace of God is confirmed in the believer's life through a deep-seated trust in Jesus Christ and His completed work of redemption. It is a result of resting in the finished work of Christ rather than relying on our own efforts or righteousness. As we cultivate our relationship with God through prayer, we experience a calming assurance that helps us face daily challenges and instills confidence that God is in control. This peace is often described as surpassing understanding, meaning it does not rely on our circumstances but rather on the eternal truths of God’s promises.
