How do we know the prayers of believers are heard by God?

Answered in 1 source

Believers' prayers are heard by God because they approach Him in the truth and merit of Jesus Christ.

According to Proverbs 15:29, 'The Lord is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous.' This verse assures us that God actively listens to those who belong to Him. The righteous are those who come before God acknowledging their need for Christ, the mediator, who presents their prayers in a manner that is acceptable to God. This relationship is contingent on the believer's faith in Christ, who said in John 14:6, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.' Therefore, the efficacy of a believer's prayer is rooted in their relationship with Christ and their faith in His redemptive work.
