How do we know the promise of a new earth is true?

We can be confident in the promise of the new earth due to the nature of God and His faithfulness. Isaiah 65:17 highlights God's declaration, 'For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth,' which underscores His sovereign authority over creation. Furthermore, in 2 Peter 3:13, it is reinforced that, 'according to His promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.' Our assurance rests not only in God's Word but also in His character of truth. He cannot lie, and every promise He makes is fulfilled.
