How do we know the promise of deliverance is true?

The promise of deliverance, as found in Psalm 91, is grounded in Christ's love and righteousness, which merit God’s promises. In verse 14, it states, 'because He hath set His love upon me, therefore will I deliver Him.' This indicates that the promise is first fulfilled in Christ, who perfectly loved and obeyed God, thus securing deliverance for Himself and, by extension, for all who are united with Him. For believers, this promise holds true as it is founded on Christ's position as our representative. Thus, our confidence in deliverance stems from His achievements rather than our inadequacies.
