How do we know the promise of heaven is true?

Answered in 2 sources

The promise of heaven is assured through Christ's words and His sacrificial work, as stated in John 14:2-3.

In John 14:2-3, Jesus assures us of the reality of heaven, declaring that in His Father's house are many mansions and that He goes to prepare a place for us. This promise is grounded not only in His words but also in His finished work on the cross. By His death and resurrection, believers are given the firm hope of eternal life with Him. The fact that Jesus, our great forerunner, is currently seated at the right hand of the Father signifies that our places in heaven are already secured. We can trust His promises because they are rooted in His authority and divine sovereignty.
