How do we know the promises of the covenant of grace are true?

Answered in 2 sources

The promises of the covenant of grace are secured by the faithfulness of God and the sacrifice of Christ, who is the mediator of a better covenant.

The assurance of the promises within the covenant of grace stems from God's unchanging nature and the fulfillment of His Word through Christ. As declared in Hebrews 8, Christ, as both the mediator and the surety of this better covenant, provides a foundation upon which all of God's promises rest. This covenant cannot fail, as it was established on better promises than those of the old covenant, fulfilled through the redemptive work of Christ on the cross. Thus, believers can rest assured that the promises of mercy, forgiveness, and eternal life are irrevocably secured for all those whom God has chosen.
