How do we know the redemptive work of Christ is sufficient?

Answered in 1 source

The sufficiency of Christ's work is affirmed by His sinless nature and the sacrificial cross, fulfilling God's justice.

The redemptive work of Christ is sufficient because He is the Lamb without blemish and without spot (1 Peter 1:19). Unlike the blood of animals that were offered for sacrifice in the Old Testament, Jesus' blood—being that of the sinless Son of God—upholds the infinite value needed to atone for humanity's sin. His sacrificial death was not just the end for Him, but a purposeful act fulfilling divine justice and demonstrating God's love for His people. As Peter explains, Christ was foreordained for this purpose before the foundation of the world, which emphasizes the plan of salvation was always fully sufficient.
