How do we know the resurrection is a joyful day for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

The resurrection is described as a day of great joy, akin to a wedding celebration, where believers fully enjoy their relationship with Christ.

The joy of the resurrection is comparable to a wedding day, a time of celebration and rejoicing. Revelation 19:6-7 proclaims, 'Let us be glad and rejoice and give honour to him for the Marriage of the Lamb is come.' This indicates that the resurrection marks the fulfillment of the believers' hope and longing to be united with Christ eternally. On that day, the joy will not only stem from His presence but from a full communion with Him, as believers taste the completeness of their relationship with the Savior, which is the ultimate source of their happiness.
