How do we know the righteousness of Christ is our only hope?

Answered in 1 source

The righteousness of Christ is our sole hope because we cannot fulfill the law ourselves.

Our understanding of human depravity leads us to recognize that we cannot earn God's favor through our own efforts. The sermon underscores that 'what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son... condemned sin in the flesh' (Romans 8:3). This establishes that Christ's perfect obedience satisfies the law’s demands on behalf of His people, confirming that His righteousness is the only basis for our standing before God. We are entirely reliant on His work for redemption and acceptance.
