How do we know the righteousness of God?

Answered in 2 sources

The righteousness of God is revealed through Jesus Christ, who fulfilled all righteousness on our behalf.

According to 1 John 2:29, if you know that He is righteous, you also know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him. This righteousness is not a mere moral standard; rather, it is embodied in Christ Jesus, who, as the God-man, has met all the righteous requirements of God on our behalf. Understanding the righteousness of God involves recognizing that it is only through faith in Christ and His completed work that we can be considered righteous before God. For believers, true righteousness flows from abiding in Christ, trusting in His redemptive work and accepting His righteousness as our own.
