How do we know the righteousness of God saves us?

Answered in 1 source

The New Testament affirms that Christ's righteousness is imputed to believers, providing their justification before God.

We ascertain the saving power of God's righteousness through its revelation in the gospel, as stated in Romans 1:16-17. This righteousness is a gift to all who believe, justifying them from their sins. In Romans 5:19, we see that as Adam's disobedience condemned humanity, Christ's obedience brings justification. Therefore, the righteousness that saves is not one of our own making but that of Jesus Christ, which is graciously imputed to us, allowing us to stand before God without fault.
