How do we know the rod of correction is effective?

We understand the rod of correction's effectiveness primarily through Scriptural teaching. Proverbs 22:15 and 29:15 affirm that correction is a divinely ordained method for instructing children. Even when results may not be immediately visible, Scripture affirms that God's prescribed means will be blessed in teaching children the ways of obedience. A refusal to apply God's discipline not only contradicts Scripture but also places parents in a position of disobedience to God's commands.
