How do we know the Sabbath law is no longer required for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

The fulfillment of the Sabbath law is found in Christ, who has provided eternal rest, making the old observance obsolete.

The New Testament clarifies that the ceremonial aspects of the law, including Sabbath observance, are no longer binding on Christians. In Colossians 2:16-17, Paul reinforces that believers are not to be judged with respect to the Sabbath, as these practices were shadows of Christ’s redemptive work. Christ's coming and sacrifice have abolished the need for such legalistic observance as He has fulfilled the law and established a new way of relating to God. Therefore, Christians are called to rest in Christ rather than adhere to the old covenant Sabbath.
