How do we know the sacrifice of Christ is effective for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Christ’s sacrifice is effective because it satisfies divine justice and ensures that all for whom He died will ultimately be saved.

The effectiveness of Christ's sacrifice is rooted in the doctrine of particular redemption, where His death is intended for the elect, securing their salvation. Romans 3:25 teaches that Christ was put forward as a propitiation by His blood, to be received by faith. This means that His sacrifice not only pays for sin but also upholds God's justice, allowing sinners to be declared righteous. The belief that Christ's blood was shed in vain for those who perish is a denial of its sufficiency. Each believer can trust that their salvation is assured because Christ's blood was specifically applied to them through the work of the Holy Spirit.
