How do we know the significance of faith in Jesus Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Faith in Jesus Christ is significant as it is the means through which we receive forgiveness and cleansing from sin.

Faith in Jesus Christ is of utmost significance in Christianity as it is the sole means of obtaining forgiveness and cleansing. The Gospel teaches that we are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9), and this principle is reflected in Naaman’s experience. He had to respond in obedience to the prophet's command to wash in the Jordan, and likewise, we must respond to the Gospel message. This calls us to place our faith entirely in Jesus' sacrifice, which paid the penalty for our sin. The invitation to come to Christ is open to all who acknowledge their sinfulness and recognize their need for a Savior. This faith brings about a transformation, much like Naaman's physical healing was a picture of spiritual cleansing.
