How do we know the story of the Exodus is true?

Answered in 1 source

The truth of the Exodus is grounded in Scripture and the faithfulness of God’s promises.

Many today question the validity of the Exodus account, viewing it as allegory rather than history. However, the Scripture firmly asserts that this narrative was a real event involving real people. God’s promises of deliverance to Israel were fulfilled as confirmed by His actions during the Passover. Just as God demonstrated His power and faithfulness during this event, so He continues to do so in all His promises. The certainty of the second coming of Christ reinforces our belief in the truth of these scriptures, as 2 Peter 3 reminds us that God is not slack concerning His promises.
