How do we know the transformation of our minds is real?

Answered in 1 source

The transformation of our minds is evident through a changed lifestyle that reflects obedience to God's will and character.

The transformation mentioned in Romans 12:2 is not just a superficial change but an inward renewal that affects the entirety of a believer's life. As believers submit to God's influence, the evidence of this transformation is seen in our thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. We begin to see a departure from worldly values and an embracing of God's truths. The change is also characterized by a growing awareness and rejection of former lusts that were driven by ignorance (1 Peter 1:14). As we grow in understanding of God's Word, the fruit of our transformation becomes visible not only in our actions but also in how we engage with the world around us, making decisions that honor God.
