How do we know the transformative power of the Word of God is true?

The Scriptures affirm that when the Word of God is genuinely received into one's heart, it acts as a catalyst for profound change. Hebrews 4:12 tells us that the Word is alive and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart. This transformative capability is likened to the process of leaven working in dough, where the Word assimilates the individual's soul into the likeness of Christ, removing sinful inclinations and replacing them with holiness and righteousness. Such a change may be gradual and imperceptible at times, but the cumulative effect is a marked change in the believer’s character and conduct.
