How do we know the true Gospel is the Gospel of God?

Answered in 1 source

We know the true Gospel is the Gospel of God because it is consistent with the teachings of the Old and New Testaments.

The true Gospel is identified by its coherence with the entirety of Scripture, including the Old Testament prophets. In Acts 10:43, we learn that the message of salvation through Christ was spoken of beforehand by the prophets, affirming its divine origin. Jesus Himself preached this Gospel, as noted in Luke 4, where He declares that He was anointed to preach the good news. Additionally, the apostles, such as Paul, articulated this same Gospel message in 1 Corinthians 15, which asserts the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ as central to salvation. Thus, the unifying thread of grace throughout Scripture confirms its authenticity.
