How do we know the urgency of accepting Christ?

Answered in 1 source

The urgent need to accept Christ is emphasized in Scripture, as procrastination can lead to lost opportunities for salvation.

Throughout the Bible, particularly in the New Testament, the urgency of accepting Christ as Savior is clearly articulated. The case of Felix illustrates this reality; although he was convicted of his sin and recognized the truth of Paul’s message, he delayed his response. The Scriptures remind us that today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2), and that the Holy Spirit’s call must not be ignored. Fatal procrastination, as exemplified by Felix, demonstrates that we may not have another chance to respond to the gospel (Hebrews 3:15), and thus we should not delay in turning to Christ for salvation.
