How do we know the war against sin has already been won?

The confidence in the victory over sin comes from the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Scripture explains that through His sacrifice on Calvary, sin has been put away, and the power of Satan has been defeated (Colossians 2:15). Romans 8:1 reminds us of the assurance that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. The culmination of these truths reinforces that, although believers may face ongoing battles with sin, they fight in the confidence of a victory that has already been accomplished by their Savior.
