How do we know the written Word of God is true?

The written Word of God is not merely human invention; it is inspired by the Holy Spirit as asserted in 2 Peter 1:20-21. This means that it carries divine authority and truth. Prophecy and Scripture derive their reliability from being God's communication to us. As the Lord spoke through the prophets in years past, spiritually understanding the Word today confirms its truth, providing a firm foundation for faith and teaching. Furthermore, if any interpretation contradicts the written Word, it bears no light or truth.
