How do we know there are no degrees of reward in heaven?

Answered in 1 source

We know there are no degrees of reward in heaven because there are no degrees in righteousness or redemption.

The absence of degrees in heaven is grounded in the understanding that righteousness and redemption itself do not operate on a scale of merit. As presented in the sermon, all believers are redeemed by the same blood of Christ, and they all stand equally righteous before God due to God's grace. If salvation is not earned by the length or quality of one's labor but solely through faith in Christ, then it follows that the rewards in heaven would reflect that same equality. The essence of this doctrine can be seen in passages like Romans 8:28-30, which reinforces that our calling, justification, and eventual glorification are all part of God's sovereign will and not based on our human performance.
