How do we know there is life after death?

Answered in 3 sources

The Bible clearly states that after death, individuals face judgment and enter eternity, either in heaven or hell.

The assurance of life after death comes from several Scriptures. Hebrews 9:27 teaches that it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment. Similarly, in John 5:29, Jesus speaks of a resurrection leading to either life or damnation. This biblical revelation indicates that death is not the end; instead, it is the gateway into eternity, leading to either heaven for the righteous or hell for the unjust. The final judgment will determine one's eternal state based on their acceptance or rejection of Christ.
