How do we know true believers cannot lose their salvation?

Answered in 2 sources

True believers cannot lose their salvation because they are kept by God's power and the work of Christ is complete and sufficient.

The assurance that true believers cannot lose their salvation rests in the faithfulness of God and the sufficiency of Christ's atoning work. In Hebrews 6:4-6, it is stated that those who are genuinely born of God cannot fall away to apostasy. Jesus Himself declared that His sheep would never perish and that no one could snatch them from His hand (John 10:28-29). This assurance is accompanied by the reality that God regenerates the believer's heart, sealing them with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14), which serves as a guarantee of their inheritance. Genuine believers may falter in their faith but are ultimately preserved by God’s grace.
