How do we know true faith is present in a believer?

Answered in 1 source

True faith is evidenced by love for others and good works in a believer's life.

According to James 2:17-20, faith that does not produce works is dead. This means that while faith itself is internal and invisible, its manifestation through love and good works is how it becomes visible to others. In Ephesians, Paul expresses his joy upon hearing of the Ephesians' faith in the Lord Jesus and their love for all the saints, indicating that genuine faith produces a tangible impact in a believer's life, such as visible love and service to others.
