How do we know true saving faith is genuine?

Answered in 1 source

True saving faith is demonstrated by a heart commitment to Christ above all else, even if it costs us everything.

True saving faith involves acknowledging that everything we once held dear is worthless compared to knowing Christ. In the sermon, it is emphasized that those who have genuinely been given a new heart will turn away from all former beliefs, including false religions or traditions, in favor of complete reliance on Christ for salvation. The evidence of this true faith is a willingness to forsake all earthly associations and seek the approval of God above all. If there is a struggle to let go of past beliefs for the sake of Christ, it may indicate that a heart has not truly been changed by God's grace.
