How do we know we are called to serve the Lord?

Answered in 1 source

Our calling to serve the Lord is confirmed through the grace that works in our hearts, compelling us to follow and obey Him.

The call to serve the Lord is not merely a personal decision but is deeply rooted in God's sovereign grace. As it is stated in the sermon, we serve Him because He first loved us and has enabled our hearts to fear and follow Him. This transformative work of grace is evident when we realize we can do nothing apart from Him. Ephesians 2:8-10 reiterates that we are God's workmanship, created in Christ for good works, which He prepared beforehand. Thus, our desire to serve stems from His choosing us and equipping us to do so, reflecting our status as servants of the Lord, much like Joshua, who dedicated his life to God's service.
