How do we know we are chosen for salvation?

Answered in 6 sources

Believers know they are chosen for salvation through the work of the Holy Spirit and their belief in the truth of the Gospel.

The assurance of being chosen for salvation is found in 2 Thessalonians 2:13, where Paul states that God has chosen us from the beginning for salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth. This implies that the evidence of one's election is seen through the transformative work of the Holy Spirit and an authentic belief in the Gospel of Christ. Election is entirely God's work; He chooses His people according to His purpose and grace, not based on any foreseen merit.
