Believers can find assurance of their election through the evidence of faith and love in their lives (2 Peter 1:10).
The doctrine of election teaches that God chooses certain individuals for salvation according to His sovereign will (Ephesians 1:4-5). Assurance of this election can be found through the fruits of faith, love, and obedience in the believer's life. As the Apostle John communicates in 2 John 1-6, our love for one another and the adherence to God's commandments serve as evidence of the truth dwelling in us. Furthermore, as noted in 2 Peter 1:10, making our calling and election sure through godly living and perseverance in faith provides believers with confident assurance in their standing before God.
