How do we know we are following after Christ?

Answered in 1 source

We know we are following after Christ by consistently reaching for His promises and focusing our lives on Him.

Following after Christ involves a deliberate and ongoing effort to seek Him above all else. As Paul describes in Philippians 3:13-14, believers need to have a mindset similar to that of a runner focusing on the finish line. This means actively reaching for the spiritual promises that God has set before us, which include grace, mercy, and ultimate resurrection glory. Additionally, following Christ involves operating with a sense of urgency, realizing that our spiritual journey requires persistence and dedication. It is not merely about conforming to a set of rules but maintaining a living faith that looks to Christ for strength and assurance.
