How do we know we are forgiven of our sins?

Answered in 1 source

We know we are forgiven of our sins through faith in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and His grace extended to us, as expressed in Ephesians.

Our assurance of forgiveness rests not on our works but solely on the grace of God through Jesus Christ. As noted in scripture, particularly in Ephesians, we are taught that our identity as forgiven individuals comes from being united with Christ, who died for our sins. This means that while we still struggle with sin, we are no longer defined by it. Instead, our lives are to reflect the light of Christ as we walk in love and truth, motivated by the grace that we have received. The transformative work of Christ assures us of our forgiveness and calls us to live in a manner that honors Him.
