How do we know we are genuinely saved?

Answered in 2 sources

We know we are genuinely saved by our belief in the name of the Son of God and the resulting transformation in our lives.

1 John 5:13 assures believers that they can know they have eternal life by believing in the name of the Son of God. Genuine faith manifests itself in a transformed life; those who are born of God will exhibit love for God and others, keep His commandments, and overcome the world. The presence of the Holy Spirit in believers' lives leads to assurance because they experience God's love and a desire to obey Him. The miracles of faith and love are evidences of a true relationship with Christ, not mere religious expressions or feelings. Thus, the combination of faith, love, and obedience serves as the foundation for knowing one's salvation.
